You need to have previous procurement experience, be an expert at producing cost reports, and have strong bargaining skills. A Tier 2 national builder, this business is growing in Victoria. They are professionals in challenging commercial projects and now have a substantial backlog in Victoria. On a complex university project worth $20 million, a Contract Administrator is needed.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to a Senior Contract Administrator you will be responsible for

  • Prepare scopes of work and letting sub-contractor packages. 
  • Assist with preparing monthly cost reports to senior management. 
  • Assess sub-contractor progress payments and variations. 
  • Assist the Senior Contract Administrator with any client variations or commercial matters. 
  • Manage contractual disputes that arise on the project. 

Job Requirement

  • Managing own portfolio of recruiting assignments via advertised, database or search methodologies
  • Candidate management including interviewing, registering and maintaining qualified junior to mid-level candidates
  • Advertising vacancies by drafting and placing adverts in a range of media
  • Briefing candidates about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of a job in question
  • Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients regarding suitable applicants
  • Informing candidates about the results of their interviews
  • Negotiating pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between clients and candidates
  • Offering advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates, training and career progression
  • Using sales, business development, marketing techniques and networking to attract business from client companies
  • Arranging and facilitating client meetings
