Jan 2023: Housekeeping Position at IHG Hotels & Resorts Australia.

We are looking for great housepeople to join our housekeeping staff Peninsula of Mornington in anticipation of the opening of our newest hotel, InterContinental Sorrento. Take advantage of the 108 opulent hotel rooms, the lively restaurant and bar area, and the brand-new spa centre. On the Mornington Peninsula, this house is redefining luxury and appears to be rather outstanding.

Job Responsibilities

  • The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience.  You’ll be the person guests rely on to ensure the guest rooms, public areas and event spaces are presented immaculately.
  • As a House Person – you’ll make sure our public areas, rooms and suites are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for our guests after a busy day at work or out exploring – creating a haven for them to escape and relax in – or get a bit of last-minute work done.

Job Requirements

  • A general passion for making people happy (you want to make a difference in someone’s day).
  • You are not afraid to greet guests in the corridors and enquire about their day.
  • You are praised for your overall attention to detail and care about your presentation.
  • It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important.
  • You might need to bend and kneel to complete some activities.
  • Strength – with occasional lifting of items up to 23 kilograms and or push/pulling heavy objects.
  • Our guests are with us 24/7 so our roster patterns reflect that – evening, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.
  • Candidates will only be considered with existing rights to work in Australia
