Job Responsibilities

  • The Application Delivery Analyst will sit within the IT Applications Delivery Team for Simplot Australia.
  • Their primary responsibility will be to support and maintain Master Data Management applications, predominantly iICE by Innovit.
  • They will also act as a backup support resource for FoodChain ID (formerly, Hamilton Grant) Product Recipe Applications  .
  • They will contribute to resolving support issues, completing enhancements and project work, and provide training to business users.
  • We are looking for someone who can work independently as well as with others, and has a keen focus on continuous improvement. 
  • Ability to present and explain functional systems, processes, problems and outcomes to non-technical staff. 
  • Performs elicitation, analysis, testing/validation, documentation of business, functional, and non-functional requirements for projects of moderate complexity. 
  • Work with the business to ensure our IT Systems are continually meeting or exceeding their expectations. 
  • Undertake problem and root cause analysis to drive and deliver production system fixes and enhancements. 
  • Provide support to the Application Delivery Manager in researching, presenting and delivering opportunities to derive further value from our current application footprint. 
  • Drive knowledge sharing between Business and Service Desk to continually improve our overall knowledge base. 
  • Support the Business in developing new requirements. 
  • Complete system configuration. 
  • Maintain application environments by keeping production and non-production environments in sync.  
  • Documents as-is and to-be processes (If required).
  • Participates in RFx processes. 
  • Creates and executes relevant test cases including unit testing, SIT, and UAT. 
  • Demonstrates technical and non-technical proficiency. 
  • Participates in cross-functional teams. 
  • Represents team to client/customers. 
  • Consults with team members and customers on issues. 
  • Working knowledge of current security policies and standards, and assists the business in assessing risks and applying standards and policies. 
  • Demonstrates technical and non-technical expertise and exerts influence within the immediate team. 
  • Represents team to vendors.
  • Act as support backup for FoodChain ID (Formerly, Hamilton Grant) applications. 

Job Requirements

  • Significant years of relevant experience working as an analyst within IT for example as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Support Analyst, Delivery Analyst etc. 
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Good understanding of standards, guidelines, and best practices to be used during development is required. 
  • Experience troubleshooting and documenting knowledge articles for support issues.
  • Basic experience programming required    
  • Basic understanding of Python and SQL preferred. 
  • Basic understanding of how interfaces work, e.g. SSIS and APIs    
  • Excellent troubleshooting, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
